Coming soon online courses

In January 2020 we will be launching our Resources and Training Hub, where you will be able to increase your skills with Pfizer's bespoke learning modules covering a range of relevant topics.

Our interactive modules will support your learning around a specific subject, test your knowledge and allow you to build a learning portfolio.

We will be launching with the following two modules:

Diagnosing infection: taking the right sample every time

This module aims to:

  • Highlight the role of nurses in ensuring patients receive appropriate and timely antimicrobial therapy
  • Covers the basic causes of infection, the need to reduce antibiotic use and the process for diagnosing infection
  • Describe the specific ways nurses can ensure that appropriate and good quality samples are taken for laboratory testing

Pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics for antimicrobial medicines

This module aims to:

  • Deepen the understanding of pharmacokinetics (PK) and pharmacodynamics (PD) in healthcare professionals
  • Begins with basic principles before moving to specific applications in antimicrobial medicines
  • Covers the definitions of PK/PD, the theoretical concepts behind them and the indices used to measure PK/PD in antimicrobials
  • Allow you to better understand the considerations around PK/PD when using or prescribing antimicrobial medicines with your patients
